There are multiple spiritual centers across the globe that have an “open door” policy to the public. These organizations employ spiritual counselors, researchers, and educators who are available to answer questions and provide guidance to those who have concerns about extraordinary events they have experienced, or regarding their own spiritual emergence.
INTERNATIONAL SPIRITUAL EMERGENCE NETWORK (ISEN)
ISEN provides assistance, education and encourages research toward a non-pathological, integral framework that understands and embraces spiritual emergency, reduces the risk of spiritual crisis, and raises awareness globally—assisting the emerging paradigm shift to a higher consciousness for all of humanity.
ISEN is a vital resource and collaborative platform that helps to link existing spiritual emergence networks (SENs) with each other while assisting in the process of creating new spiritual emergence networks in countries where they don’t yet exist. The goal of this work is to connect people who need help with those who can assist them, in order to assist with this vital paradigm shift towards an integral world. ISEN has also compiled a directory of professional psychotherapists and healers who understand spiritual emergence and spiritual crisis, along with several resources including books, websites and research papers which are particularly helpful in understanding Spiritual Emergency.
EDGAR CAYCE ASSOCIATION FOR RESEARCH AND ENLIGHTENMENT (A.R.E.)
In 1931, Cayce and his supporters founded the nonprofit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.), with a headquarters located in the same spot as the original Cayce Hospital. Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. provides body-mind-spirit resources for individuals to explore meditation, intuition, dream interpretation, prayer, holistic health, ancient mysteries, and philosophical concepts, such as karma, reincarnation, and the meaning of life.
The A.R.E. works with centers throughout the U.S. and worldwide, and participates in activities that include conferences, tours, camps for children and adults, regional activities, publishing, and study groups, plus exclusive access to the entire set of Edgar Cayce’s 14,306 documented readings in an online searchable database.
Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. also maintains an affiliation with Atlantic University, which offers continuing education classes and Master of Arts programs in Transpersonal Psychology and in Leadership Studies; the Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage—a leader in holistic education, wellness, and healthcare; and an onsite A.R.E. Health Center & Spa at its Virginia Beach headquarters, where many of the health readings remedies are offered in the renovated historic hospital.
THE RHINE CENTER
Joseph B. Rhine led a department in the professional study of parapsychology in the 1930s at Duke University, establishing the Duke Parapsychology Lab in 1935. In 1965, J.B. Rhine retired from Duke and formed an independent research center to continue to explore his interest in ESP and consciousness studies, which is now named the Rhine Research Center.
The Rhine Education Center provides courses and certificates in scientific parapsychology, and public events exploring psychic abilities and ESP throughout the world. In addition, The Rhine provides significant resources on the history of parapsychology, archival footage, a large research library, and a complete set of the Journal of Parapsychology from 1937 to present. Finally, The Rhine attempts to foster a community for people who have psychic experiences or are interested in the phenomena. The Psychic Experiences Group (PEG) has independent chapters throughout the country, providing a safe and supportive environment for people to talk about their experiences and listen to the experiences of others.
